A serious talk with my brother

This weekend, John and I sat down and had our quarterly talks. We talked about family, work, goals, etc. We brought up trading. I was very quick to defend my position on continuing to learn trading... this wasn't needed. Like the many years before, he had been a great supporter of my dreams and ambitions. While he still has his doubts whether or not it's the best thing for me as of this time, I think he appreciated that I had my plans so well mapped out. "2010 went exactly how I planned. It was going to be the toughest year of my life... and it was," I told him. "And 2011 will be the year that I get to make some more important decisions."
I'm excited for the new year. Mentally, I want to flush my negative P&L down the drain and start anew. I want to see some positive yearly numbers this upcoming year and push myself harder. Anyways, I have one more week left to prepare for the new year. Look forward to an update on how I will conduct my daily schedule regarding preparation, trading, and post-analysis. I will get better going forth everyday. 2011 will be the year I physically catch up with my expectations.....

  • Just found your blog and brings back memories when I traded at Kershner back in 2000. I remember struggling through the same issues of profitability, living off savings, and defending my decisions to trade. I know people still making a living manually trading so keep your head up and the million dollar dream alive.

  • Hello, sir. Thank you for the kind words.

How are you nowadays? Thank you for stopping by and I hope you visit from time to time to check up on my progress. =)

    Have a great year.
